Network

Our servers are located to the two most corporate data centres in both UK (Telehouse and Bluesquare) and Greece.

At the first days of April 2006 Guru-host started hosting servers in Athens, Greece too allowing us to implement a great disaster plan for high availability servers plus the extra option for European clients to host their web sites and applications somewhere outside the UK.

Located in Telehouse and Bluesquare in the UK

Telehouse Europe is the longest established provider of reliable and secure data centre facilities. The combination of over 18 years experience, financial stability and ongoing investment in our facilities gives our clients ultimate reliability and business continuity.

Telehouse datacentre in the UKTelehouse was the original location of the London Internet Exchange, which is one of the two or three largest Internet hubs in the world. As LINX handles a large proportion of UK Internet traffic and the networks of our members provide access to the majority of world Internet routes, we have to have a very close and symbiotic relationship with the colocation facilities that support our switching and routing equipment suites.

Nine Facts About Telehouse

  1. Telehouse conceived, constructed and managed Europe’s first purpose-built data centre in the Docklands in 1990.

  2. Telehouse provides 30,000m2 of secure colocation space in Europe, of which 20,000m2 is in the UK. More than 85% of this space is currently utilised by its customers, making Telehouse the UK’s most ‘in-demand’ colocation provider.

  3. Telehouse Europe has over 700 customers representing all business sectors and every size of organisation worldwide.

  4. Five out of seven of the UK’s largest Internet exchanges all use Telehouse colocation facilities.

  5. Telehouse is the primary site for the London Internet Exchange (LINX). LINX currently transmits a total average of 134Gbs per second which is more data than any other independent Internet hub globally.

  6. Telehouse is the only large colocation provider in the UK to have remained profitable over the past 12 years.

  7. The cooling capacity of Telehouse’s data centre in the Docklands is equal to that of 60,000 fridges.

  8. 20,000m of cabling are laid in Telehouse’s UK data centres every month. This is equivalent to 240km, a distance of nearly six London Marathons, of cable being laid every year.

  9. Telehouse has 100 years of collective security experience among its professional security staff.
